Does your child know how to tie his/her shoes?

This is a really cool skill children should master in kindergarten but I have plenty of students in the first and second grade who can not properly tie their shoes. If your child is one of these ask him/her to practice this skill three times in a row every day until he/she masters it. What? Your child only wears Velcro/slip-ons/buckles? NO PROBLEM! Get a shoestring, loop it under their Velcro shoe and tie the bow on top of the foot. Come see me if you need strategies.
