Garden Docents

Garden Docent Program

The Garden Docent program provides hands-on lessons and experience that expose students to the beauty and wonder of a working garden. Students visit the garden for lessons on topics such as plant life cycle, composting, and caring for plants. In the process, they learn valuable lessons about the concept of cause and effect, problem solving, teamwork, and responsibility. And it’s just plain fun to dig in the dirt and get a little messy. Lesson plans and supplies are provided.

The PTA provides funds to purchase supplies for this program. Only with the support of our volunteers can we continue to keep the Garden Docent program going.

Want to get your hands dirty? Visit Konstella to join the group/committee for Garden Docents, and contact Susan Hughes for more information.
